I recently discovered the blog Knock-off Wood, and I love it. If you are not familiar with the site, you are in for a treat. I've spent a lot of time drooling over all the amazing furniture plans. I've always loved doing DIY projects so this was right up my alley. There are so many pieces I plan on building but decided to start with a twin Farm House Bed for Ryan. He is now in a toddler bed and will stay in one until we move next year. I started this project in April and it came together very quickly especially once I got Eric out there working with me:). It's all put together but I have yet to finish it because of this....
Yes, that is Ryan's toe! Back in April while I was working on the bed, Ryan was playing nearby and he accidentally knocked over the footboard which then fell on his toe. Because the footboard is very heavy we were afraid his toe was broken so we rushed Ryan to the ER. Fortunately his toe wasn't broken, but lets just say that the incident broke my will to work on the bed (I know, a little dramatic).
After some time away from the bed, I managed to finish staining the footboard. The headboard still needs to be stained, but here are a couple pictures of the completed footboard.

I will post more pictures once the headboard is finished.
