Milwaukee Domes

Eric has had all of April off for vacation and it has been WONDERFUL! We've been able to visit a lot of places here in Wisconsin and work on some fun projects...more pictures to come.

Puzzles

 

Eric and I really enjoy putting puzzles together. We hadn't put together a puzzle in ages because of obvious reasons that come with having a small toddler. However, now that Ryan is older and Sarah isn't climbing quite yet we thought we'd try it again. We recently completed three 1000-piece puzzles. The puzzle shown above was by far the toughest with all of the similar-looking trees. Plus, despite Ryan's best efforts, we only lost two pieces between the three puzzles:)

I'm not quite ready for this little girl to be so mobile! She has also found our DVD's and loves to pull them out from the TV stand. Didn't we just get over that stage with Ryan?

Easter 2010

Our little cul-de-sac had an Easter egg hunt on Friday. It was so fun!

We had such a wonderful Easter. Our friends, the Bagley's, had us over for a delicious breakfast.  Then we were able to watch and listen to most of General Conference (It's just not the same when you have little kids!).  We then got to go to another friend's house, the Nance's, for dinner. The meal was fantastic! I love Easter and it makes it even better when it's conference weekend.

These two love each other so much! I love how sweet Ryan is with his little sister.

We recently went to Cabelas with the Nances. Ryan loves going there. We were happy to be there with such good company. 

Ryan loves horses. So naturally he fell in love with this....

Those of you familiar with The Letter Factory will probably appreciate this post a little more than those who aren't.  Ryan has learned all the sounds to his letters and the letter K is by far his favorite. On the Letter Factory, "The K says kick".  Each time he sees a k, Ryan kicks out his leg and says, "tick" (he struggles with making the k sound at the beginning of words, which according to the Eric the linguist is common as many kids have difficulty with "voiced and unvoiced velar stops").  I think Ryan has learned his lesson to make sure he's not too close to the coffee table, couch or any other hard object when he's doing his kicking...thank goodness :). Love this kid!
