Eric + Mitt

This afternoon I was having lunch with a few of my girl friends and the topic of politics came up. That is when I realized that Eric and I have never posted anything about Mitt Romney. For those of you who know Eric well, or live close by, you already know Eric's passion for politics...especially for Mitt. Even though Eric's schedule may be vigorous there is always time for Mitt. That is on, "Evangelicals for Mitt" (it's a web page Eric came across and ever since reads daily). Eric even thought it was a good idea to put that web page on my computer settings. So each time I'd go to check my email I was welcomed by Mitt. To further show his devotion, a few days ago I found out he gave some money to Mitt's campaign. I'm sure you can imagine how thrilled I was. Anyway, that said, we're rooting for Mitt.

While in Utah we went to the Dinosaur Mueseum at Thanksgiving point. We had so much fun, and were so impressed with how big it was. There was so much to do. If you have kids, and if you're in Utah I recomend going to see it.

Ryan had fun with his cousins, Ethan and Kaylee. Kaylee loves "baby Ryan" and enjoyed helping out.

Eric was sweet and let Kristi go out to Utah a couple days early while he was finishing up finals. Here are a few pictures during that time with the Crumps.

Yesterday we took a scenic drive to one of our favorite places, Holy Hill. Unfortunately we went a little too late in the year and as a result most of the leaves had already fallen. Nevertheless, we still had a great time taking some pictures.

Happy Halloween!!
Kristi had the opportunity to fly out to Utah to visit family. Unfortunately Eric couldn't go because he was in the middle of tests. It was a pretty eventful week-and-a-half for Kristi's family. Kristi's little brother gave his talk in church prior to leaving for his mission to Kentucky. Kristi's side of the family had a Halloween party that unfortunately got interrupted with an emergency. As a result, Kristi didn't get many pictures from the party (only 1). It was also fun for Kristi to spend the evening with Eric's side of the family the night before Halloween.

In need of a haircut?

Ryan started losing his hair on the sides of his head so it looked a lot like a mohawk. We decide he needed a haircut.

We got Ryan's highchair out yesterday and he was loving it. We can't believe how big he is getting. Today was the first time he said "da". Every time he said it, Kristi would copy him and he just laughed and laughed. He seemed to think it was a pretty fun game. We are so proud of our little man.

We Love Fall!!

It's been such nice weather. Here are a few pictures that we took on our walk in a park near the lake.

Here are Ryan's current stats: Ht: 25 1/4 in. (70%), Wt: 11lb. 9oz. (4%), Head circ: 40 1/2 cm (10%). Because he is still such a little guy Ryan's Doctor has him on a higher calorie diet. He also gave us the okay to start trying solid foods. So far Ryan is doing great with rice cereal.
Friday we went to Cederburg to enjoy the beautiful weather and look in some cute shops. Poor little Ryan wasn't feeling the greatest from the shots he had earlier that day so we weren't able to stay very long.
Ryan had his cardiologist appointment last Wednesday and his second round of immunizations on Friday. He still seems to be handling his heart condition fine. In a couple months he will have an echo so they will have a better idea on how much the hole in his heart has closed. He has hit all of his developmental milestones.
He can roll over from his tummy to his back, laughs and smiles all the time and grabs everything within his reach(even mommy's hair!).

They've gone country....

Kristi's parents moved out to the country a couple years ago and they now have 2 pigs, several chickens, had some lambs and calves. It was a lot of fun being out there and experiencing some country life. However, as you can see we also got to experience an unpleasant event...beheading a couple chickens.

Ryan's Blessing Day
Flying Nightmare!

Our flight our to Utah left from Milwaukee on Saturday, August 4th at 6:20 a.m. However, as crazy as it sounds both us and our rides alarm didn't go off and we overslept. We arrived at the airport at 6:00, too late to board our flight. From that point on everything that could go wrong went wrong. Here is a quick overview of what happened... We were on stand-by all day Saturday and finally got on a flight at 7:30 p.m. to Denver. When we arrived in Denver there were no connecting flights so we stayed the night in a hotel. We had no luggage that night because we were told that our luggage went on to Utah already. We got up the next morning and left to the airport a couple hours before our flight. We got to Utah and waited for over an hour to find out our luggage was in Seattle. We had to borrow clothes from our families so that we could go ahead with our plan to bless Ryan that day. Even though we had a rough start Ryan's blessing went well and we had a great time with our families.

Ryan had his two-month doctor visit and first round of vaccines today. As you can see, he was pretty wiped out after the fact. The poor little guy was either asleep or fussy practically all day. Other than that he is doing great.
Here are his stats today: 9 lbs 5 oz (10th percentile), 23 3/4 in long (80th percentile), and head circumference is 38 cm (10th percentile).
